Giggster analyzed the 30 largest U.S. metro areas across core party-weekend costs, including accommodation, nightlife venues, drinks, meals, and rideshares. The result is a full Bachelor/Bachelorette Affordability Index for 2026, and the rankings will surprise anyone who defaults to Vegas or Miami without doing the math first.
Houston Is the Surprising Winner
Houston ranks number one for bach weekend affordability and it is not particularly close. Stays average $96 per hour, and drinks, meals, and a 30-minute Uber together cost about $88. For a group splitting costs across a weekend, that adds up to a dramatically different trip budget than a comparable weekend in Miami or Boston.
The top ten is a list most party planners would not predict: Houston, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Riverside, Detroit, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Tampa, Baltimore, and Dallas. Las Vegas, the default answer for most groups, lands at number 11.
The Cities That Will Drain Your Group Chat
Miami ranks last at number 30, with accommodation averaging $301 per hour, the highest in the study. New York ranks 28th with the highest drinks, meals, and rides cost at $146 per outing. Boston ranks 29th because nightlife venues average around $1,500 per hour, which makes even a short evening out a significant expense before drinks are ordered.
According to the U.S. Travel Association, Americans spent over $1.1 trillion on travel in 2024, and celebrations like bach weekends are an increasingly significant share of leisure spending. Miami is the most expensive at $301 per hour, followed by Minneapolis at $296 and San Antonio at $262. Groups planning weekends in those cities should factor accommodation costs into the decision before nightlife, meals, and transportation are added.

Pittsburgh delivers the best nightlife value of any metro in the study, with venue prices of $188 per hour and 26 nightlife venues per 100,000 residents. Tampa has the lowest nightlife venue prices in the top ten at $123 per hour.
At the other end, Orlando averages around $1,700 per hour for nightlife venues, and Boston averages $1,500. These figures reflect listed hourly prices for bars, clubs, private dining rooms, and party spaces, and they explain why two cities with strong nightlife reputations rank near the bottom for overall affordability.
